India's existing job portals suffer from spam listings, unverified employers, slow recruiter response times, and one-size-fits-all matching. WantJob needed a platform that solved all four — verified companies, instant recruiter chat, AI-tailored job recommendations, and granular profile analytics — without compromising on speed or mobile UX.
We architected WantJob as a modular, server-rendered Next.js application with a Node.js API layer, MongoDB for flexible job/profile schemas, and Redis for caching hot queries. AI matching is powered by an embedding pipeline that scores candidate-job fit in real time. Real-time recruiter chat runs over WebSockets with presence indicators. The entire platform is deployed on AWS with auto-scaling, CDN delivery, and zero-downtime releases.
